4. Key features

• Precipitation hardening grade: reaches Rp0.2 1100 MPa in H900 condition, roughly three times that of 304 plate
• High strength and hardness combined with corrosion resistance better than 400 series martensitic grades
• Low distortion after ageing, dimensionally stable for finish machining of precision plate
• Good weldability in the annealed condition, machinable in Condition A before ageing
• Service temperature up to 300 C for continuous duty parts

5. Typical applications

Aerospace structural brackets and fittings, pump shafts, valve stems and bodies, mould inserts, gear and shaft components for food machinery, chemical process equipment, high strength fasteners and marine hardware.

6. Production and packing

Melted in EF plus AOD, rolled and solution annealed, then cut to size. Each plate is marked with heat number and grade, protected by waterproof paper on a wooden pallet, secured with steel band, and shipped with a 3.1 mill test certificate matching the heat number.
