We are pleased to offer our premium Hot Rolled DIN 1.4845 SUS 310S (AISI 310S / UNS S31008) Stainless Steel Plate at 12 × 1500 mm specification, with a full range of customizable dimensions. Engineered for extreme high temperature environments, this austenitic grade delivers exceptional oxidation resistance and structural integrity in the most demanding industrial applications.
Alloy 310 (UNS S31000) is an austenitic stainless steel specifically developed for high temperature corrosion resistant service. The alloy resists oxidation up to 2010°F (1100°C) under mildly cyclic conditions, making it an industry-standard choice for furnace components, thermal processing equipment, and power generation systems.
With its high chromium content of 25% and moderate nickel content, Alloy 310 demonstrates outstanding resistance to sulfidation and performs reliably in moderately carburizing atmospheres. For more severe carburizing environments, higher nickel alloys such as 330 (UNS N08330) are recommended; however, 310 remains widely specified for slightly oxidizing, nitriding, cementing, and thermal cycling applications.
| Grade | UNS Designation | Key Feature |
|---|---|---|
| 310S | S31008 | Low carbon version (max 0.08% C) — optimized for ease of fabrication and welding |
| 310 | S31000 | Standard grade (max 0.25% C) — general high temperature service |
| 310H | S31009 | High carbon modification (0.04–0.10% C) — enhanced creep resistance for extended high-temperature exposure |
In most instances, the grain size and carbon content of our plate can meet both 310S and 310H requirements, providing maximum flexibility for your application.

The high chromium (25%) and silicon content make Alloy 310 more resistant to high temperature corrosion than most heat resistant stainless steels. Operating temperature guidelines are as follows:
Note: The alloy does not match Alloy 600 or Alloy 800 in reducing, nitriding or carburizing atmospheres, but outperforms most heat resistant stainless steels in these conditions.
Alloy 310 can be easily welded and processed by standard shop fabrication practices including TIG, PLASMA, MIG, SMAW, SAW, and FCAW. For hot forming, heat uniformly at 950 – 1200°C followed by a final anneal at 1000 – 1150°C with rapid quenching. The alloy is quite ductile and forms similarly to 316 stainless steel.
Our 310S stainless steel plates conform to international standards including ASTM A240, ASME SA240, and AMS 5521. Comprehensive inventory available across 304/304L/304H, 316L/316/316H, 309S/309H, 310S/310H, 317L, 321H, 347H, 410, 410S, 17-4PH, SSC-6MO, 904L, duplex stainless steel, cobalt-restricted stainless steel, and nickel alloy plates.
