Hastelloy-c 276 alloy is a tungsten-chrome-molybdenum alloy with extremely low silicon carbon content, which is considered as a universal anti-corrosion alloy.
It is mainly resistant to wet chlorine, various oxidizing chlorides, chloride solution, sulfuric acid and oxidizing salt, and has good corrosion resistance in low temperature and medium temperature hydrochloric acid.
Therefore, in the past 30 years, in the harsh corrosive environment, such as chemical, petrochemical, flue gas desulphurization, pulp and paper, environmental protection and other industrial fields have been widely used.
In the two atmosphere states of oxidation and reduction, it has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosion media.Excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion.Higher Mo and Cr contents make the alloy resistant to chloride ion corrosion, and W element further improves the corrosion resistance.At the same time, harrington C-276 alloy is one of the few materials that can resist the corrosion of wet chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solution.
It is one of the few materials that can be applied to hot concentrated sulfuric acid solution.

Tensile strength: v/d b is greater than or equal to 730Mpa, elongation: irradiation is greater than or equal to 40%, hardness: HRB is less than or equal to 100.Hartz C - 276 alloy hot forming is instantly annealing at 1150 ℃, and water quenching.The strength of harrington C-276 alloy can be increased by cold deformation.
Haversian C-276 alloy and ordinary austenite stainless steel have similar forming performance.However, as it is stronger than normal austenite stainless steel, it will have greater stress during cold forming.In addition, this material is machined and hardened much faster than ordinary stainless steel, so it is necessary to adopt half-way annealing during extensive cold forming processing.
Welding and heat treatment
The welding performance of c-276 alloy is similar to that of ordinary austenite stainless steel.This material can be used in most welds.Before using a welding method for c-276 welding, measures must be taken to minimize the corrosion resistance of the weld and the heat affected zone, such as GTAW, GMAW, submerged arc welding or some other welding method that can minimize the corrosion resistance of the weld and the heat affected zone.
Hartz C - 276 alloy solid solution heat treatment includes two processes: a. in 1040℃ ~ 1150℃ heating;
B. rapid cooling to black state in two minutes (about 400 ℃), the processed material has good corrosion resistance.Therefore, it is not effective to conduct stress relief heat treatment only on harrington C-276 alloy.Clean up any dirt that may cause carbon in the heat treatment process, such as oil on the alloy's surface, before heat treatment.

Hastelloy c-276 features and application field overview:
The alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media under oxidation and reduction conditions.
Excellent resistance to pitting, crevice and stress corrosion cracking.
Alloys are suitable for a variety of chemical process industries containing oxidizing and reducing agents.
The higher content of molybdenum and chromium makes the alloy resistant to the corrosion of chloride ions, and the corrosion resistance of tungsten is further improved.
Hastelloy c-276 is one of the only materials that can resist the corrosion of wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solution. This alloy has remarkable corrosion resistance to high concentration of chloride solution (such as iron chloride and copper chloride).
